SKIN NEEDLING

The SkinPen is a TGA and FDA approved device that is clinically proven to create controlled micro-injuries on the surface of the skin, stimulating the body's natural healing response. These micro-injuries prompt the production of collagen and elastin, two vital components responsible for maintaining the skin's firmness, elasticity, and youthful appearance. As a result, skin needling can address a wide range of skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, uneven texture, enlarged pores, and pigmentation irregularities.
At Glow Up Sydney, we prioritize safety and comfort during the skin needling procedure. Before starting the treatment, our experienced Registered Nurse will thoroughly assess your skin condition and customize the treatment plan to meet your unique needs. They will apply a topical numbing cream to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.
During the treatment, the SkinPen will be gently glided across the skin, creating controlled micro-injuries. These tiny punctures trigger the body's natural regenerative processes, leading to improved skin texture and appearance over time. The procedure typically takes around 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.
Following the treatment, you may experience some mild redness, similar to a sunburn, which will subside within a day or two. You will be given after care products and serums to take home and apply for 48 hours.
With a series of skin needling sessions, usually spaced 4 weeks apart, you can achieve remarkable improvements in your skin's texture, tone, and overall radiance. During the facial, our experienced Nurse will carefully assess your skin type and concerns to determine the most suitable peel and masks for you. Chemical peels are formulated with different ingredients and strengths, allowing us to tailor the treatment to your specific needs.

The process begins with thorough cleansing of your face to remove any impurities and prepare the skin for the peel. A gentle exfoliation may also be performed to further enhance the results. Next, the chemical peel solution is applied evenly to your face, targeting areas of concern such as fine lines, wrinkles, acne and acne scars, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, dull and dry skin.

The peel solution is left on the skin for a specific duration as tolerated by you, allowing it to penetrate and work on the deeper
layers of your skin. You may experience a mild tingling or warm sensation during this time.

After the appropriate time has passed, the Nurse will neutralize and remove the peel solution, followed by a soothing and hydrating mask to calm the skin. Depending on your specific treatment plan, additional steps such as facial massages, serums and SPF may be applied to further nourish and revitalize your skin as well as options of having in clinic LED light therapy post treatment.
